Summary: This workshop will provide information to educators on ways to maximize student leadership beginning with students in the first grade.

Summary: This workshop will offer effective strategies to help teachers eliminate unknown biases when working with students.

Target Grade Level and Subject: Elementary, Middle, and Secondary educators, ALC/ALE staff members, school counselors, administrators, and mental health providers.

R.E.N.E.W. (Removing Every Negative Emotion & Word)

Summary: This workshop will provide effective strategies to maximize student leadership, improve grades, decrease retention rates, and help close the communication gap between students, teachers, and parents.


Target Grade Level and Subject: Middle and high school counselors, first year school counselors, teachers, PLC team leaders, school administrators, parent liaisons, and curriculum specialist.
 

Length of session: 2, 4, or 6-hour session

Summary: This workshop will provide strategies on how to effectively combat social media pressures, personal/ social issues, gang involvement, and educational distractions. This workshop will also shed light on the four goals of misbehavior.

Summary: This workshop will teach youth leaders how to build relationships with youth, how to encourage positive healthy behavior in youth, and how to get parents more involved with youth related activities.


Target Audience: Youth facility directors, daycare owners,
community organizations, church leaders, after school program coordinators, teachers, counselors, etc.

 

Length of session: 2, 4, or 6-hour session

Summary of Workshop: To build and strengthen relationships among faculty and staff, teachers, and students. This workshop will also focus on team building activities, communication skills, building positive relationships, enhancing cultural differences, and creating a shared vision among all stakeholders.

Targeted Grade Level and Subject: Secondary teachers,
paraprofessionals, instructional facilitators, PTA members, school counselors, school social workers, teachers, and building level administrators.


Length of session: 6-hour session (1- or 2-day workshop)
